Splendid Synchron’s work wins two nominations for the German Prize for Synchronisation

(Cologne – 18 February 2008) – At the 2008 German Synchronisation Awards, a synchronisation by Splendid Synchron GmbH, Cologne, gained two nominations. The film in question was “Harsh Times”, and the nominations were for Cay Michael Wolf (“Best Screenplay”) and David Nathan (“Best male synchronised performance”).

“Harsh Times”, a US thriller from the film library of Splendid Film GmbH, Cologne, with an excellent cast including Christian Bale (”Batman Begins”), Freddy Rodriguez („Poseidon“) and Eva Longoria (“Desperate Housewives”), was first shown in Germany in summer 2007.

There were further “Best Screenplay” nominations for “Copying Beethoven” (“Der Klang der Stille”) and “The State Within“ (“Die Schattenmacht”). Other nominations for best male dubbing went to the films “Ensemble, c’est tout” (“Zusammen ist man weniger allein”) and “The Last King of Scotland”.

The German Prize for Synchronisation will be awarded on 3 April 2008 in Berlin.
