Kevin Costner, Dennis Hopper, Adam Sandler and Diane Kruger promising new entries for the Splendid Film Library

(Cologne 9 June, 2008) Splendid Film GmbH, Cologne, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Splendid Medien AG, Cologne, has acquired new, high-quality feature films from the USA at the Cannes Film Festival for release in the German-speaking world.
The titles include the family comedy Swing Vote in which Kevin Costner plays the role of a hard drinking and likeable good-for-nothing who must cast the decisive vote between the candidates for the presidential election, who include Dennis Hopper.
I Hate Valentines Day offers more romantic entertainment from one of the most successful cinema twosomes seen in recent years, Nia Vardalos and John Corbett from the hit film My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Another promising comedy with a full all-star cast is Going Overboard, featuring US star comedian Adam Sandler (50 First Dates, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry).
Diane Kruger (Troy), Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friends Wedding) and Vincent Perez provide exciting entertainment in the thriller Run for Her Life. Action fans will get their full money's worth from Ruslan, featuring Steven Seagal. Another new action highlight in the Splendid Film Library is Unshakable, which features Ving Rhames (Pulp Fiction, Mission Impossible) and Russel Wong (Romeo must Die).
In The Gene Generation, the top female star of Chinese cinema, Bai Ling (Star Wars III, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow) encounters global star Faye Dunaway. And in Dance of the Dead, the dead are raised to life in true George Romero style.
Some of the films are in production or post-production and will be released by Splendid Film from the end of 2008.
