(Cologne/Amsterdam, January 20, 2026) – "Juf Braaksel en De Mysterieuze Verdwijning" is a huge box office hit: The third installment of the "Juf Braaksel" series was released in Dutch cinemas on December 10, 2025, and, like its predecessors, is proving very popular with audiences.
With now almost 180.000 viewers to date, the production is on a par with the first two parts – "Juf Braaksel en De Magische Ring" (2023) and "Juf Braaksel en De Geniale Ontsnapping" (2024) – and has already been awarded the "Gouden Film Award." With this prestigious award, the Dutch Film Festival (supported by the Netherlands Film Fund, among others) honors Dutch films that sell more than 100,000 cinema tickets. The co-production with partner AM Pictures thus joins the ranks of the Splendid Group's successful children's films and local productions in the Benelux countries.

The live-action adaptation of the popular children's book by Dutch author Carry Slee continues to enjoy great popularity among children and families in the Netherlands. The plot: Milou is new to Lotte and Thijs' class. The school year gets off to a promising start with a class trip led by the popular teacher Evi. But the fun is over when the strict teacher Miss Braaksel (Juf Braaksel) shows up with her strange rules. To make matters worse, the mysterious witches Ali and Greta also appear on the scene. When Milou makes a disturbing discovery with her magical binoculars, an exciting adventure full of secrets begins for her, Lotte, and Thijs.

With the theatrical releases of the third installment of the “Juf Braaksel” series and “Amsterdamned II”, the hugely successful sequel to the Dutch serial killer thriller “Amsterdamned”, Splendid Film B.V. can look back on a strong release schedule. Another promising theatrical release is announced for early February 2026 with "Bledders," the Dutch answer to "21 Jump Street." “Amsterdamned II” will also be released in German cinemas on March 19, 2026, under the title “Amsterdamned II – Verfluchtes Amsterdam”.
