The Splendid Group mourns the loss of company founder Albert E. Klein

Albert E. Klein founded Splendid Film as a sole proprietorship in October 1974 after 20 years in
management at the US film company United Artists Corporation. Over the decades, the
company has undergone extensive development and expansion, culminating in the Splendid
Group in its current form. More than 50 years after its founding, the Splendid Group, under the
leadership of Andreas R . Klein, can look back on a long and successful corporate history.

Since Albert E. Klein founded Splendid Film, Splendid has developed into a name that has
stood for decades for both popular and culturally sophisticated film programming. Highquality
services for the media industry round off the diverse program spectrum and service
profile of this medium-sized media group. Over the past 50 years, the Splendid Group has
continued to develop. The Splendid Group now includes the group companies Splendid

B.V., Splendid Entertainment, and the VoD platform maxdome – strong brands both in the media
industry and among the public.
