(Amsterdam, May 31, 2026) - The festive premiere of “De Film van Rutger, Thomas & Paco 2” took place today at Pathé Arena. The film was enthusiastically received by the audience. With more than 2,500 families and children in attendance, the theaters were packed, and everyone was fully immersed in the new adventure of Rutger, Thomas, and their faithful dog Paco. Many celebrities, influencers, and film professionals, including Dionne Slagter, Barry Paf, Carrie ten Napel, Sharon Doorson, and Johnny de Mol, were also present, contributing to the festive and energetic atmosphere.

Following the huge success of the first film, which drew more than 300,000 viewers in the Netherlands and Belgium, this second installment looks set to become another audience favorite. Tickets for today’s public premieres also sold out within a few hours. The premiere can already be deemed a huge success.

The story of “De Film van Rutger, Thomas & Paco 2”  
Their first feature film drew more than 300,000 viewers in the Netherlands and Belgium last year. In this new adventure, Rutger and Thomas are once again swept up in an absurd and comical mystery when their dog Paco suddenly turns into a cat. It soon becomes clear that there is more to it: someone seems determined to turn all dogs into cats. What follows is a race against the clock full of humor, disguises, and chaos, in which everything is done to save Paco and the other dogs.
